My name is Amy. A mama of two living in Colorado, I'm passionate about birth choices, natural family living, urban homesteading, unschooling, and other "crunchy" things. I'm trying to change the world, one blog post at a time.
I have been a lurker for awhile now…I have to say that I come back and read your blog often. I am a Mom of a little boy about 6 months younger than your little girl…and I find it fun to hear about your life staying home with her and your choices on how to raise her. I have made some very different decisions with my son, but I am interested in the choices you have made…especially since I wish that I was able to make alot of the choices you have made…but can’t.
Found you originally through the July 04 babies group, I have an almost 18-month-old boy Will and am expecting # 2 in July.
Love your blog for the interesting topics (we’re pretty like minded I think!), but I also REALLY love your photography, and hope you’ll share some tips soon! I can’t believe how good you are since it sounds like you are still learning, but your photos are incredible. So, that’s my request for 2006, please give us tips for taking GOOD photos of our kids (and bellies!!)
Anna – welcome and thx for commenting. :) congrats on baby #2! thanks for the compliments. :) a good tip for photographing kids is to get down on their level. it’s tempting to shoot from above just cuz we are taller than they are and are used to shooting while standing, but it’s better to crouch down and get eye-to-eye with them. :) hope that helps a bit. maybe i can come up w/ some other tips down the road. :)
