What goes in, must come out

NaBloPoMo – Day 18

My son has been pooping vegetables. Yes, you read that right. Pooping vegetables. I don’t mean bits of vegetables mixed in with his poop. I mean just vegetables and nothing else. I know he doesn’t chew his food all that well, but this single veggie pooping is a bit bizarre.

First yesterday morning he pooped a slice of carrot. No poop, just a carrot. Jody changed that diaper so I took his word for it, but wondered if the carrot had somehow fallen into his diaper. Later in the day, however, I had the chance to see for myself when he pooped a single kernel of corn. Again, no poop, just the corn kernel. Huh?

Wonder if I can somehow get him to poop money. Probably not unless I feed it to him first. And ugh, after having a dog once swallow a wad of 20 dollar bills, I don’t even want to go there.

Somehow I get the distinct feeling he is going to hate me for this post when he’s a bit older.

  2. I discovered Lydia had eaten some paper the other day the same way.

And raisins seem to go through with little change.

I think the strangest diaper I changed was after Tim had feasted on blue berries. Think purple diaper.

  3. OH My that is horrible… I mean i see corn every no and then or some carrots, but they dont just come out by themself…

I would definately give the money thing a shot.. rub his tummy tonight and make a wish.. maybe in the morning there will be some spare change

  4. For some odd reason, I feel guilty for laughing my head off at this. But, as mommies, we are all in it together! Thank goodness mine are out of diapers :-)

  5. My oh my! I do change some strange diapers too! My son likes beet soup. Magenta poo. It’s like tie-dye! No vegetables solo in his pants, but plenty of unchewed things! This reminds me of the time my dog ate a knee-hi. I won’t go into the rest of the details – I’m sure you get the picture, considering the topic we’re on here!

  6. What I love most about checking in here every morning is that 80% of the time, I’m guaranteed to laugh out loud. It’s a great way to start the day! Thank you Crunchy Domestic Goddess!! :)
