Interesting! I had heard something like this previously, but in not quite such scientific terms.

I definitely just ate what I wanted...a little fruit, bland carbs and ice cream that first trimester. My favorites!

I have also heard that it is a sign the hormones are working properly. And I also read that vegetarian societies experience less (as a whole, though individuals do still have it).

I had almost none the first time around.

It's interesting as I'd heard morning sickness was a good sign, and when I had a miscarriage my doc said my total lack of symptoms was not related, but I didn't quite believe her. So while I wasn't wishing for morning sickness, my lack of symptoms for the 3rd (2nd was ectopic) did make me a little panicky. For my 2nd (successfull) pregnancy I didn't even find out until 15 weeks (was BF at the time), so clearly had no time to worry. I did have a friend who's had several miscarriages, and pretty much could tell each time.

Now will you figure out why my nausea came back in the 3rd tri? And could you find something beneficial about heartburn while you're at it!? ;)

Joking aside, fun post!

Ugh, the sickness was awful. Definitely the worst part of pregnancy for me.

I didn't know it took you 13 months to get pregnant. What about with Julian? That must have been so hard.
