Haiku Friday and Mama of the Month

February 22, 2008

haiku friday

It’s Haiku Friday.
A first for me on my blog.
Thought it looked like fun.

And now for the real Haiku…

Girl Scout Cookies

Oh, Girl Scout Cookies.
Peanut butter, chocolate.
My favorite treat.

Morning, noon and night.
I could eat you ’round the clock.
And sometimes I do.

Oops. Running low now.
I must make the cookies last.
Rationing them out.

But wait! There are more!
Sweet treasure in the freezer.
Sigh. What a relief.

=====================================

Mile High MamasI’m so flattered to have been chosen as February’s Mama Blogger of the Month over at Mile High Mamas. Feel free to check out my interview over there today. That Amber asked some hard good questions and I provided some long-winded thorough answers. ;) Seriously though, it was a lot of fun to ramble about my passions. Thank you for the honor, Mile High Mamas.

Also, there are some awesome bloggers out there who have bestowed bloggy awards upon me over the past couple of months. I haven’t forgotten your kindness and am working on my post for passing those awards on. Hope to have it up within the next week. Thank you. :)

I accidentally ate an entire box of Caramel Delites. In about 24 hours. Actually, since they were located in my desk drawer at work, it was more like eight hours. But damn they are good!

I cannot have GS cookies in my possession.. Because they’d be out of my possession and in my belly in like 4.7 seconds!

  7. storyteller says:

Excellent job on your very 1st ‘Ku!!! One of the unexpected benefits of retirement is that I no longer have to deal with being tempted by the steady stream students who each wanted me to purchase these tasty treats. I never could refuse anyone who asked. They’re hard for Weight Watchers like myself to manage.
    Hugs and blessings,

  9. Julie says:

Oh man, I have to fight the urge to buy girl scout cookies every year! Otherwise I could eat Tagalongs like they’re going out of style. My MIL has this great thing she does where she puts peanut butter on a Ritz cracker and dips it in chocolate and it tastes just like a tagalong. Yum, yum, yum, it’s a good thing I don’t have any Ritz crackers or I’d be making some right now!
