This weekend I finally took advantage of the box of Natural Instincts Cinnaberry that has been sitting on my counter for the past three weeks and colored my hair (again). It’s a temporary color (cuz I’m non-committal like that) that washes out after 28 shampoos. I’m thinking of getting a shorter (fun? funky?) cut to go with it and some new glasses as well. I have an eye appointment coming up this week and went scouting out specs this weekend. I’m trying my best to deviate from my usual brown glasses (which is what I almost always seem to get – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?) and have a purple frame in mind. We’ll see if I go through with it or not. There’s also a black and green frame that I rather like and a couple of (yes) brown ones too.
What kind of hairstyle do you think I should go with? Send me links to pics if you have suggestions. Maybe I’ll put together 2 or 3 styles that I like and then post a poll and let the internets decide my next hair style. Ya think?
Here I am with the new shades of Cinnaberry hair. I’m a red-head. (For the record, it doesn’t look as red here as it does in person. I’m surprised every time I see myself in the mirror.)

I think I tried that color in high school once. It didn’t turn out as well as yours. Maybe because I’m blonde? LOL!

I would add more layers and not a sharp cut-off at the chin.

Oh fun!! I’d say go with a natural style to your hair- do you have a little wave? Maybe even work in heavier side bangs (I’ve been loving the bangs lately!) But you’ll look great no matter what!

CUTE!! And I love this picture of you :)
I dyed my hair once with dye that was supposed to wash out in a month. It turned my hair jet black (NOT what I was going for!). I dyed it in Sept or Oct and it was still jet black when Tim and I had our 1st date in Feb of the following year. And thus it has been 12 years since I dyed my hair ;)

I think you would look stunning with a variation on the 1920s bob. Here are some links to give you an idea of what I mean:

And uf you want to try out lots of fun and funky styles of glasses, may I recommend Zenni Optical? http://zennioptical.com/cart/home.php
They are inexpensive and decent quality. I own this pair in blue (http://zennioptical.com/cart/product.php?productid=331&cat=15&page=1), and they have lots more to choose from. I need to get on the ball and get some sunglasses from them now.

I got my hair cut short again 2 months ago. I went w/short in the back, but a little longer at the chin. The back could be spiked out a little but I don’t. It sort of is a takeoff of the 20s bob, I guess…Looking forward to seeing what you go with! Liking the color…

Ooooo! Love it! I so want to be a red head, but can’t do it myself unless it’s a shampoo-in dealie ’cause I can’t cope with the rubber gloves/staining everything potential (lol!). My vote is the “hairfinder” 1920′s cut :-). If you don’t do it, I will! And three cheers for Zenni Optical! Affordable, cool eyewear – who knew??

I think your hair is great. I love the bangs and the layers.

Fun! I love getting new glasses. I always le the young sales girls help me. It is their job to help me find something that looks good. Try on pairs that you wouldn’t normally get. :) And if you end up with the same one, then so be it. At least you tried.
I with the other ladies here – that you could do a bob and have it layed to frame your face.
Be sure to show us the “After” photos. :)

I love the red! I’d do something that worked with your wave…it looks like we have simular hair…the type of wave that isnt curly but not straight…somewhere in the middle. I always have a hard time finding a style that works great with my hair!

Pretty color, Amy! You pull it off well. As far as hairstyles, I think the hairstyle of your cartoon Amy at the header of your blog would look cute on you! Short and pixieish, it would suit your face shape and glasses well. My best friend has the same kind of glasses and face shape as you and she used to have short hair and it looked so cute! Can’t wait to know what you decide and see the end result. Hey, you’ll use less shampoo with short hair too!
On a side:
My hair is half way down my back now, takes 10 minutes just to wash and condition it, so I can’t take part in your five minute shower challenge, but I only wash my hair twice a week, the rest of the time is a five minute wash in the tub every day. Does that count?

What about that style I was thinking about- the “Meg Ryan?” My stylist told me my hair was way too thick, but I bet it would look adorable on you- she said that style needed a lot of layers though. I am sure I can find the tweet where I posted that picture if you are interested.
I bet the color is great on you. :-)

I like Picture #1 in Gallery #1. I think you would rock that cut. (I would love to have short hair again but it just doesn’t suit me)

Hmmm. I actually like the cut you have now, but if you’re in the mood for something different, I understand. How about longer in front and angling to a very short back?

You have the kind of hair I wish I had! How about long side swept bangs/layers and a shortish cut, almost a short hair cut but not quite? I’m not very good at explaining what I mean, and I can’t find a photo, but I know my hair would never do it right.
