Just a quick post to let you know I received the results of my MRI yesterday and they were “normal!” The nurse said, there was “no white matter, disease or evidence of MS.”
I’m very relieved to hear that my brain is normal and was so glad to have received the news before the extended Memorial Day weekend. A friend of mine said, “I’m very happy your brain is well. Now you can focus on healing your mind.” And this is so true. My brain may be well, but my mind does need to heal. I have already started that healing process (through ways I mentioned here) and will continue as long as it takes. This has been a learning experience for me and an important reminder to slow down and take care of myself. It’s so easy to get caught up in all of the things we think we could and should be doing that I think we all need that reminder to slow down every now and then.
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers lately. I appreciate you all. Be kind to yourselves and enjoy the weekend.

Yay! I knew it! :)
Now, considering my health saga going on, did they happen to test your calcium levels, by chance?
Also, I thought of you while at the hospital last night, when they made me drink the solution for the contrast CT Scan. I immediately thought to our talks this week, and the nurse answered the question – the IV contrast is no good. The ingested one is fine. Funny how life connects us all together, huh?

Glad to hear the good news. I would be terrified of MS, and I’m sure you felt the same way. Good for you for taking control and getting checked out.

Just found your blog. I had the same symptoms. I stopped all use of aspartame and the symptoms disappeared. Especially happy to be rid of the migraines.
Good Luck.

Thank God your brain is OK! Thank you for sharing the info, your experience, and the resources in your other post. I’ll keep you in my mind, and hope that you will start healing now better and faster when you can check this one out of your mind.
It is so important to have your health checked, and not just think the symptoms are psycho-somatic. Last summer I had breathing difficulties, and felt like half of my lungs were missing, and for one month, I thought it was anxiety and didn’t see a doctor. When I finally saw a doctor, I had 12 blood clots in my lungs, and it is a miracle I am alive today.

I just discovered your blog for the first time through Phdinparenting, but I wanted to just say that I think it is great that you’re blogging openly about your anxiety. Anyone who has experienced anxiety will understand the cycle of being anxious about the anxiety! (On a personal note, I’ve struggled with anxiety most of my life, but when I became pregnant, then breastfeeding — still going — it all went away, poof, like magic. So did the migraines I’d had since I was 16. I expect it will all come back again but it was an amazing lesson for me in 1) the amazing power of breastfeeding and 2) the way hormones rule my body.).

So glad to hear it! Thanks for letting us know.
Somehow I think you’re better than just “normal.” But I’ll have to wait for BlogHER to see! :) As for me, sometimes I definitely think I’m not “normal.”
